Two Tricks When Adding Packages To A SSIS Project

If you need to add multiple packages to a project you may have noticed that the ‘Add existing package’ option is rather irritating as you have to do it one at the time. So, here is a trick to add several package all at once:
  • Right click in the project name in the solution explorer
  • Select add existing item
  • Navigate to the folder where the packages reside, and use CTRL+left click to select packages.
  • Click the Add button

Wait, you said there were two tricks!

Indeed. Matt Masson shows a different way of doing this in his blog. Actually, was his post the one that prompted me to write mineSmile

  1. The mind is a great philosopher. And life is not a philosophy, life is a reality. And philosophy is an escape from reality; philosophy means thinking. Life is, there is no question of thought. You can simply jump into it. You can simply experience it. Visit my site for more information.Thank you.
